We are so happy to share Carol’s super pretty quick and easy floral cards today. Here’s what Carol said about her project – “I’m out of birthday cards in my stash and Rubbernecker’s floral layering stamps are perfect to replenish my stash quickly!”
We LOVE making batches of cards – maybe changing up the colors a little or leaving off the greetings for last minute additions – and these really are perfect. They are cheery and sweet and great for lots of different reasons.
Let’s take a look at how to put these together!
First, make your bottom layer by taking a card sized piece of white card stock and blend your choice of color around the edges. Carol used Scarlet Color Fuse from Color Fuse Set #4. This gives you a soft, variegated edge to set off your design. Then ink up the Horizontal Strip background stamp with a coordinating color and stamp onto white card stock and trim to form another layer.
For the floral layer, stamp the stems from Field of Daisies onto white card stock and die cut with the middle sized Nested Rectangle Scallop with Holes die. Set aside.
Make your flowers – Carol suggests using a stamp positioner because it makes it very easy to restamp a layer if needed. Stamp your layers with your choices of ink. Then make your leaves the same way with your pick of colors (you can see Carol’s choices in her product list below). When you are all done stamping, cut out your flowers and leaves with the coordinating dies and add to your stem panel with foam tape. PRO TIP: For your leaves, add the foam tape toward the outside end and adhere the stem ends with a dot of liquid glue for some realistic positioning.
Now all you have to do is add whatever greeting you want to use and a few rhinestones for some magic and these quick and easy floral cards are done for any occasion!
Aren’t they pretty? And as we said, you can change up your color scheme and even which of our many gorgeous layered floral stamp sets and make a whole array of gorgeous cards ready to send! Here are the fun things from our store that Carol used today:
