Lately we’ve been seeing LOTS of questions out there about where to get slimline background stamps for Christmas. Well, at Rubbernecker, of course! We currently have one in the store and it is selling like gangbusters. Today, we are going to show you an example of WHY – this project by our design team member Lisa is a KNOCKOUT!
Lisa says, “They are cool whether you color the whole image using markers, pencils, or watercolor or even if you leave them black and white… or spotlight color them… or just emboss them in any color. You can use just part of it for a smaller card or the whole thing to cover your slimline.”
We TOTALLY agree, especially when you see the stamp used like this. We also love her use of untraditional pink and teal with green and red for a modern twist on vintage-y imagery. What an AMAZING combination of styles!
Lisa used her Copics to color up the entire image and then die cut if with our Stitched slimline die for the perfect sized panel. To take everything up another notch, she accented the image with a gold gel pen.. brilliant! She used our fun Alphabet Dies to add “merry” in white adding an impactful greeting in a small space and letting all the beautiful colored images show through. And to bring the bling, she added just a single trip of glitter gold washi tape.
We just love what Lisa did with this and are so excited that this stamp is becoming such a popular choice for people looking for those fun slimline background stamps for Christmas cards and paper crafts. Fabulous background panel, the images are darling and beautifully coloured!
