Look forward to warmer weather with a springy handmade card with flowers!

We’ve all loved seeing pretty winter cards but clearly our designers are ready for a new season – proof positive with this pretty springy handmade card with flowers stamped and die cut for some pop! Jamie’s put this together for us today so let’s take a look at her little tips and tricks!

Jamie started by stamping the floral elements from our Summer Bloom set using the colors from Color Fuse Ink Sets #1, #5 and #10, following the included layering guide that we tuck into each of our layered floral stamp sets.

When she was all done stamping, Jamie cut out her stamped images with our coordinating die set.

Jamie then took a piece of white card stock and cut it with our Lattice Cover die and layered it over a same-sized piece of purple patterned paper and then adhered both layers to her card base.

Next Jamie use our Stacked Butterflies die to cut some sparkly silver card stock and, of course, saved all the extra die cuts in the bag in which she stores her die, setting aside two for this project.

Now Jamie “built” her card. She adhered one flower and stem to her card with her tape runner and a few dabs of liquid glue and then adhered the second flower with dimensional adhesive to add some pretty dimension. For her sentiment, she stamped her choice of phrases from the same stamp set in black onto a scrap of white card stock, trimmed it to a modified banner, layered over a scrap of black card stock and then added to the card at an angle with more dimensional adhesive.

As the final touch, Jamie took her two butterfly die cuts, curved up the wings for a realistic look and then adhered the centers to the card with liquid glue and propped up the wings with small pieces of foam tape. To finish off these little creatures, she added self adhesive pink pearls to the centers to create little bodies.

Such pretty details and so springy! Here are the items from the shop that Jamie used today:
