See how this card POPS using stencils and die cuts together!
We’ve seen lots of cards that have used stencils and die cuts together but this card from Kittie really stands out! The way she positioned her beautiful, detailed flower made from one of our dies in the center of the starburst made with one of our stencils makes that flower look like it sending out those rich rays of light.
You can see Kittie’s whole post here and we wanted to point out some fun details here for you.
To make her gorgeous stenciled background, Kittie used a large blender brush to buff Citrus Color Fuse over the surface. She then trimmed the panel to fit her card. This ensured that the ink made it all the way to the very tippy edge of this layer, allowing the “light” from the rays to really spill out over the whole card creating that fantastic visual movement.
Kittie is known for how she takes our floral dies and turns them into pure magic and this cheerful sunflower is no exception. Kittie’s die cut flowers are always lush and extra dimensional and she’s got some secrets which she does share on her post. Well give you a hint – she makes great use of our Color Fuse Ink ON her flowers to add delicious details and dimension.
And last we want to point out the detail on that textural center of Kittie’s sunflower. She created that from some tiny die cuts which she shaped – details in her post – to make this flower so realistic!
Here are the items from our store that Kittie used to make this spectacular card:
