We thought we would share the 2023 Christmas Color Trends to see what’s new and returning in this year’s world of all things holiday. We were happy to see some returning trends and surprised at how our designers are so on the crest of all things fabulous that even some of their older cards are totally on trend!

The main 2023 Christmas Color Trends are:

  • Luxury Metallics – whether you choose one and go all out or mix them, gold, silver, copper and bronze are all showing up in everywhere.
  • Ocean-y Blues – both the color scheme and the theme are on trend right now so watch for seashell themes, watery blues and even some ocean creatures to appear.
  • Pastels, Especially Lavender – soft, sweet, “fairy” shades are showing up and they can be so magical and unexpected.
  • Pops of Neon – yes, the opposite of the above but we’ve seen some gorgeous combinations of soft colors with highlights and features of their neon counterparts.
  • Botanicals, Especially Farmhouse Style – nature based decor never really goes out of fashion but this year, the whole farmhouse aesthetic in combination with greenery, flowers and fruit is going strong.

Now, we have some projects from the past that are so perfectly on trend that we just have to share a second time. Plus, because our amazing Design Team is so generous with sharing their details of the making of these projects, you can get a once-and-done inspiration right here today! Let’s take a look.

We aren’t suggesting that you have to be on trend to make and send gorgeous holiday cards. But it’s always fun to see what trends stick around, what the new ones are and how you can add your own special little twist to the 2023 Christmas Color Trends in your own card making.
