Are you a fan of spooky or cute Halloween cards? We love both kinds and today we’ve got a slimline Halloween from Kittie that is a SUPER cute treat yet has a great “trick” up its sleeve. You can take just one of these adorable owls in their trick-or-treat costumes and pop just ONE onto an A2 card front and have an additional stinkin’ cute Halloween card ready to send.
Kittie used the Slimline Squares Frame Die to cut a decorative shape out of white to mount on an almost-same-sized purple panel, cut to be sure a nice margin of orange showed around the edge. PRO TIP: If you are going to do this as an A2 card and don’t have a die that can cut a decorative border, consider embossing the white panel or using a die that can cut a peek-through design. Kittie added this panel assebly with dimensional adhesive, which gives it some nice depth.
Then she cut the owls out in light gray card stock and the little body details in white and dark gray. She first created her little owl buddies using all these parts and then cut out their costume pieces and dressed them up! Are they not just the CUTEST? And they have so much detail and character that positioning just one on an A2 card with perhaps a greeting will make that whole card with very little fuss.
