A Halloween Slimline SHAKER Card!

Today we are expanding on all the fun slimline things we’ve been doing with this Halloween slimline SHAKER card to celebrate our continuing 13 Days Of Halloween Celebration.  Our designer made this using a few of our new slimline and cardmaking dies along with some gorgeous shades of Color Fuse Ink. Oh, and did we mention it’s a peek-a-boo card, too? Let’s see how to make it!

Allie used the new Slimline Clouds die to cut a stencil and then inked the various shades of oranges from the Color Fuse inks over a white panel. She started with the lightest and added in the deeper shades, making sure to create a lovely darker shadow around the edges of the panel. For the card I used the cloud slimline to use as a stencil and inked the lightest orange in the Color Fuse inks on a white piece of card stock. I used the remaining oranges in the set to create a deeper shade around the edges.

Then she ran the panel through her die cutting machine with one of the Slimline Nested dies and the Fancy Peek-A-Boo Slimline Die.

She repeated her cloud stenciling on her card front behind where her peek-a-boo windows would lift up using the lighter shades only. Note that she kept the center window permanently closed to allow for her cute “BOO” and sentiment in the center.

She then adhered a sheet of acetate to the back of the die cut panel and added foam tape all around those outside two windows to keep all her little shaker goodies in each spot.

Allison adhered a little die cut and hand colored little ghostie inside each window opening and used orange glitter and black sequin stars as her shaker filler. Use your favorite technique to “fill” your windows and adhere the peek-a-boo frame to the card front.

She then added a load of super cute details cut from white and black card stock and stamped her greeting in the center, along with some star details in the deepest shade of Color Fuse. Is this not just SO adorable?
