If easy Christmas card ideas are your jam, this one is a winner!

If you are anything like us, you stash easy Christmas card ideas because, honestly, as much as we think we will always plan ahead, sometimes we are getting these done just under the wire. This card from Kittie is not only easy to make but pretty quick, too, thanks to all the details coming from the dies and some pretty layering.

The great thing about this card is that you can do everything up to the beautiful die cut poinsettia and instead add your own favorite element in its place. We have these adorable Christmas cookie dies that would look fabulous on this card, or for a whimsical look, what about one of our gnomes? OR!! What about one of our super cute owls all dressed up for the holiday with our add-on die set? Hang on, excuse us for a sec, we need to make a note…….

Ok, we’re back. Kittie used one of her favorite approaches to this card design which is using white on white to establish the base. This lets the pops of color and whatever element you choose really stand out while still adding beautiful texture to the project.

She also kept her sentiment strip white, layering it over a whisper of a border of one of her featured colors. This helps to highlight that sentiment while also giving the detail element a clean field on which it can really shine. Using another feature color for the actual sentiment creates a lovely “closed loop” and lets any detail have even more impact.
