Floral cards in purple and orange kick off beautiful fall color stories!

As unconventional as they might be, floral cards in purple and orange are the perfect way to start bringing the fall colors into your projects. This one from Julie brings such a pretty take on these classic fall jewel tones we really wanted to share how she did it!

First, Julie made her background that peeps through those diamonds by using shades of blue and purple Color Fuse Inks from Sets #6 and #7 buffed through our new Leaf Stencil. Combining these two pale shades of ink – Sky and Lavender – creates beautiful shading! She cut that panel to fit her card base and attached it with some adhesive tape. She die cut a piece of white card stock with that new Diamond With Stitch Cover die and adhered that over her stenciled panel with some foam squares for more dimension.

Then she stamped her flowers using our Sweetest Sunrise and Little Cosmos stamp sets – designed to coordinate together to give you TONS of creative opportunities! – and colored them in with Copics before cutting them out with our coordinating dies. Here are the Copics Julie used for her purple flowers:

Then Julie added these to her card using varying thicknesses of dimensional adhesive, weaving some of them into the diamonds on the die cut panel. As a last touch, she stamped her sentiment on one of the diamond scraps left over from die cutting and popped it into place, adhering it with a foam square.
