One of Our Funny Birthday Cards For Men!

Rubbernecker Blog Ralph-Birthday
Happy Friday friends – today we are sharing one of our funny birthday cards for men!  At the beginning of the week we had an awesome slimline card with Ralph Golfing that really wowed. Today we wanted to share him again, but this time on an A2 card, complete with putting green. This fun birthday card for a guy is colored up nicely with Copics, and it sure is beautiful with that Color Fuse sky.  He has quite the expression on his face, and I wonder what he is thinking!  LOL!  This card was really easy and quick to make!  Read on for the directions.

First, our designer used the largest Nested Rectangle Small Stitch die to cut a piece of white card stock. She added clouds using the Arctic Ink from Color Fuse Set #7 using a cloud stencil and an ink blending brush. We just love these shades of Color Fuse because they all work so beautifully together and have enough oomph to stand on their own.

She freehand cut the hill from some green card stock and added a putting green with a darker green Copic marker, adding the hole with a dark gray Copic marker. She cut two different shades of green card stock with the Grass die set and since she wanted that fun stitching around the edge of the frame to be on all the elements of her card, she placed the die over the pieces and held them in place with some painter’s tape. PRO TIP: Washi tape is EXCELLENT for this. If you got some in a package and you don’t like it, put it near your die cut machine or your die collection and you will never have to worry about a wiggle again!

She put it all together and layered it onto a sand colored card base.

Now, she stamped Ralph and colored him with Copic markers, used the coordinating die to cut him out and adhered him to the card with dimensional adhesive, making sure his feet were tucked behind the grass.

She made a little flag and pole out of scraps of white and red card stock, coloring them with Copic markers to add some shading. The flag got a little “breeze” behind it with some dimensional adhesive.

Then she added the cute and funny sentiment, Old Putter in black onto a scrap of white card stock, trimmed it down and matted it in navy, adding it with dimensional adhesive.
