Do you love funny Christmas cards? Then you HAVE to see this adorable mini slimline version!
Some people like to send dramatic holiday cards, some people like to send non-denominational winter cards and some people like to send funny Christmas cards. If you are in that last group, then this card will absolutely hit your funny bone!
This card was just too cute not to share now and if you got your hands on our recently released Winter Birds stamp set and/or die set, then you can make your own version of this adorable card.
Julie is responsible for today’s chuckles so let’s get her take on the make!
She started by stamping her little owl, colored him in with her Copics and then cut him out with our coordinating die. She then chose two coordinating pieces of printed card stock from our crazy popular Ho Ho Ho Paper Pad and cut them both with the largest die in our Mini Slimline Nested With Stitch die. She then cut both of them on slight angle at the same time to make sure the angles matched. She, of course, saved the two extra pieces for another project!
She stamped her sentiment at the bottom of her green piece and then adhered the two pieces to her mini slimline card base, butting her cut edges up to each other. She then adhered her little owl over the seam with some dimensional adhesive.
Because the paper has so much visual movement and fun colors, all she had to do now was add her own little touches of some sparkle with some sequins and this feathered fellow was ready to crack someone up!
If you are on a Christmas movie watching binge and love to color, these would make the most awesome batch-making project! There are so many different patterns in our Ho Ho Ho Paper Pad so you can mix and match all the designs for tons of variations. Just stamp a ton of the little owls, plop down with your markers and a yummy cup of something hot and color your heart out. Then it’s just some spins through your die cutting machine, some sticking down and you’ve got a whole stack of cards to really delight someone this season.
