This example of heat embossed floral card ideas is definitely a keeper!

Our designers constantly amaze us with their skills using heat embossing and this example of heat embossed floral card ideas is one that we know we will be bookmarking! It’s so easy to make and we love that the impact comes from using the sheen of gold a few easy ways with the pops of color in the flowers. Let’s see how Annie put this together for us!

First, Annie stamped the floral image from our new Sweetest Sunrise set with Versamark onto white card stock and heat embossed it with Mirror Gold powder. She then colored in the flowers with her favorite markets and cut it out with our coordinating die when it was all done.

Then she created her pretty tone-on-tone background by stamping our Graduated Horizontal Stripe Background stamp onto a card panel sized piece of kraft paper with our Mocha Color Fuse ink. This LBD (little black dress) stamp is perfect for any time you want some visual interest in your background but don’t necessarily want to add a new pattern. We have a hard time keeping this stocked after projects like this so be sure to add one to your order if you love this look!

Once the Mocha ink was dry, Annie stamped her sentiment with Versamark and this time heat embossed with Glacier White powder to make this pop and echo the white background around the flowers.

Then Annie cut some metallic gold card stock with our Rectangle Combo #4 die, grabbed the second largest frame and saved the other pieces for future projects. PRO TIP: Keep your extras in the pocket, bag or whatever container you use for your die to have them handy. If you use magnet cards for your dies, use Scor-Tape to adhere a clear cello bag to the back of the card for all your extras. SUCH a timesaver! Believe us, you will be thanking us every time you see those pieces ready for use!

Now Annie assembled this beautiful floral card. She adhered the kraft panel to her white card base with her tape runner and then added her pretty gold frame to the front of that with some foam adhesive. She then added her floral element to the top with more foam tape, overlapping and tucking her flowers as shown to add that organic look to the scene. She added a few gold rhinestones to continue the echo of gold and this card was all done and ready to really touch someone’s heart.
