Make a fun mixed media coffee themed card with these easy steps!

We are so excited to share this mixed media coffee themed card from Natasha today! We love seeing our products used in new, fresh and fun ways and Natasha is serving us up a beautifully textural, loaded with details card that can be used for so many card sending reasons. Let’s dive right in and learn how to do it!

Natasha started by stamping the coffee mug from our Coffee Lovers set three times, using Caramel, Cinammon and Pecan Color Fuse Ink from Set #3 (those sound like yummy coffee flavors, don’t they?) PRO TIP: Natasha daubed the inks on the stamps in combination to add some texture and dimension to her stamped images. She then cut them out with our coordinating die.

Then, Natasha took paper she’d previously created using her gelli plate and cut three more mugs from that material. Lisa has shared a couple of posts, one here and one here, sharing some tips on how to make gorgeous panels like the one Natasha used here.

Natasha grabbed another gelli plate background from her stash and layered our Coffee Bean stencil over the top and stenciled over the same browns she used for her mugs, applying some gold glitter gel over a few of the beans here and there for little pops of emphasis.

Natasha set that aside to dry and using our Slimline Insert Circle Lattice Die, cut a piece of kraft colored card stock and inked it up with those same delicious brown Color Fuse shades plus a touch of Hearth Color Fuse from Set #12.

Natasha also cut a tag from more kraft card stock using the second smallest tag from our Nested Tag Stitch set, stamped the sentiment from our Coffee Girls with Pecan Color Fuse Ink and added a little blending of her browns around the tag, helping to emphasize the stitch detail and add more dimension.

All that was left to do was to layer her elements onto her coffee bean background with varying thicknesses of dimensional adhesive and adhered her beautiful panel to a brown card base.

Beautiful!
