Looking for mostly monochromatic card ideas? Check this beauty out!

This card is living proof that monochromatic card ideas do NOT have to be boring OR all one color. We just love the use of the shades of oranges in the background and on the pumpkins with just that hint of green. This card manages to be Fall like yet super fresh and clean and simple. Allie made this for us and she says “Fall is my favorite season, love the colors, temperatures, sweaters, hot coffee…” This card definitely brings the vibe! Let’s dive into the making!

First, Allie stamped a card panel sized piece of white card stock with our Vine Silhouette background inked up with Citrus Color Fuse Ink. Then she got out her die cutting machine and cut out our Diamond with Stitch Cover, a Nested Circle Scallop, a Nested Circle Stitch to layer under the scallop, Classic Pumpkins and some Small Ivy  all from white card stock.

Allie then used her favorite blending tools and using Citrus, Fern and Apricot Color Fuse Inks, added these shades to her die cut elements for dimension and shading. She also used a white pen to add some playful speckles to a few pumpkin pieces. To echo all the lovely monochromatic shades, Allie added some Citrus and Apricot ink around the edge of her stitched circle and then adhered the two circles together.

She stamped her sentiment from our Splatter Leaves set in black ink roughly in the center of her scalloped circle and arranged her pumpkins at the base of the circle using liquid glue and foam squares to create their dimensional shapes. She made sure to put her speckled pumpkin piece at the front. She then tucked in the ivy pieces using liquid glue to adhere them to create a sweet little scene.

To finish up, Allie adhered the diamond cover die cut over her vine panel and then centered the circle assembly to the center. To give this already captivating card a little pizzazz, Allie added a few orange sequins and, we are sure, stood back to admire her creation!
