This slimline gnome card for the holidays has us chuckling – talk about a surprise gift!

We were pretty excited to how Julie created this slimline gnome card for the holidays – we just love the idea of a gnome popping out of a gift box to send his happy wishes! And we were even more excited when we saw that she made that fun colorful panel using one of our new stencils!

Let’s take a look at how Julie made this card for us….

First she cut her panels of white card stock with our Slimline Nested Stitch dies and used our new Stars and Circles Stencil to add some turquoise, lavender and blue ink from our Color Fuse Sets #9, #6 and #7, respectively. We love this unconventional holiday color combination!

Then she stamped one of our Christmas Gnomes and his gift box hideaway and colored them in with Copic markers that coordinated with the Color Fuse inks on the stenciled panel.

She cut them out with the coordinating dies and also cut a panel of turquoise paper to give her stenciled panel a slim border, adhering these together with some tape. She then used a sentiment from our Christmas Cheer set, stamping the larger word on the end of one of the smaller stitched die cut panels. She trimmed this off and tucked the cut edge behind the turquoise mat, adhering the assembly to her larger white panel. She then stamped the string of words below the decorative panel, lined up with her word “tag”.

Julie then used a craft knife to cut a little slit at the top of her die cut gift box to tuck the gnome inside. She adhered this with some foam tape to pop it up. To finish this climline gnome card off in style, she used her Copics to color three clear gems in one each of her focal colors, added them in a row below her word “tag” and then added some iridescent star sequins around the stenciling.
