This month, we did things a little different so our January 2023 blog roundup will look a little different, too. We added some fabulous new Design Team members, looked back at some of our most popular projects from 2022 (and sometimes beyond), and shared some terrific storage ideas and our top ten favorite tools. If you missed anything just click below and you can get all the details.
Coming in February we have TONS of surprises, treats and so much delicious (calorie free) eye candy for you! It’s our 30th Birthday and we are celebrating in style! This means new goodies for everyone and maybe, just maybe, some steals and deals for YOU! Check back here often to get the news as soon as it breaks and get ready to celebrate with us!
Here’s a look back at all the fun things we shared in January.
First, we got to meet all our Design Team members, new and returning. If you haven’t checked out their mini-bios, you should. You will learn that not only are they all enormously talented but they are all LOVELY people and find joy in sharing their ideas. We feel so blessed to have each and every one of these artists part of our Rubbernecker family!
Returning are Kittie Caracciolo, Julie Warner, Lisa Bzibziak, Jamie Martin, Carol Hintermeier and Melinda Stearns. Joining us this year are Dawn Gavlinski, Ricky Burton-Romero, Meghan Kennihan and Sammi Offield. Prepare yourselves – the projects are AH-mazing and you will have so much inspiration you will be in idea heaven!
We shared some very fun ways to use our Wavy Stencil, showed off some beautiful ways to use a monochromatic color scheme, and offered up some cute ideas for cards to share with friends.
We took a look at how to use die cut frames in different ways, showed off ink blending techniques which of course look so fantastic with our Color Fuse Ink, and shared a look at why our Someone Like You set is so popular.
Our layered flower stencils with their pretty sister stamps are hugely popular and you can see just a few reasons why here. We “re-aired” our masking technique videos that we heard from so many of you were so helpful. And we shared a few cards using our gorgeous Butterfly Flowers – no kidding it has wings – it flies out here in a steady stream!
And last we shared just a taste of the beautiful ombre cards our designers have created for us and then a peek at how you can use cover dies for some instant pop on a project.
So much inspirational goodness!
And to help you get your crafting year organized and more efficient we shared some handy tips, tricks, tools and ideas. We shared some paper scrap storage ideas – the number ONE thing you all said you would like help with (we hear you!!). Then we addressed ways to store your card making dies so you can get more from your stash. And then we talked to our Design Team and looked at our own space and shared the top ten “pro” tools we thought were share-worthy. It was so juicy we broke it into two parts – part one here and then the rest of these awesome tools here.
It was a busy month! And February is promising to be full of even more crafty goodness so come back every day and see what we have in store for you!
